In 2008, after serving food at the Renaissance Faires in both northern and southern California for over 20 years, we started serving food at the Dickens Christmas Faire. Having been Dickens' participants since 1978, we looked around and wondered what could be done to enhance the dining at the faire. We saw there was no place to it down, relax and have a fine meal. In 2009 we changed the name of our shop to The Tippling Toad. China, linens and crystal were bought--the dining room was open!
